It’s simple. There is someone holding a stick, forget what it is called. There is someone else. There are holding a sphere a little smaller than a handful. They are 30 paces away from forementioned person holding stick. The sphereperson (pitcher) hurls the sphere (baseball) at a great speed toward the “batter” AKA the “one [...]

Audrey took out her yoga “carpet” and we did yoga for a few minutes. She did great and I need to stretch more. Ouch! Now off to Soccer World.

I read this article and I already do four of the six activities listed on a regular basis. How much do I save? I know it’s several hundred dollars a year. Bike commute to work everyday / Use bike for small shopping trips - CHECK Work 10 hour days – CHECK Set digital thermostat “smartly” – CHECK - it’s set around 68 [...]

Mara got a recipe for making  homemade potato chips from Judy and Guy. I thought I’d share the recipe with you. – Cut 1 large potato into very thin slices (as thin a possible) – Lay out a single layer of slices onto a large microwave safe tray – Microwave slices for 3 minutes – [...]

I took this video around March 2007. I mounted a small digital camera to my handlebars and took several videos while riding. This is the result ( not a very good one). Sorry if it makes you a little dizzy.

3 slides for $1 at Greek Fest. How could resist?

I broke the 1,000 mile mark today! The picture below was taken mid-ride at Kutzky Park.

Here are some pictures from the Como Zoo on Wednesday. I’ll do my writing in the captions.

I made it to the halfway point right on target! Exactly halfway through the year I am at the halfway point of my milage. I hit 750 miles with 4 hours to spare before July. I just wouldn’t have forgiven myself if I was just short of my goal for the month. So between Saturday, Sunday and [...]

I got out of the shower after my bike ride with crazy hair. We decided to pose for the camera.

May turned out to be the most productive month in terms of mileage so far. I broke 200 miles an 1 1/2 before the clock turned to June. I was determined to break 200 miles for the month and I did. If I can make 200 or more per month every month until September I’ll [...]

Well… I did the math and I’ll have to average 164 miles per month every month in order to make 1,500 for the year. I think I can do it! The weather will be getting nicer and nicer and I’ll have more excuses to go out and ride. If you’ll notice I almost exactly hit what should [...]

I was checking out the bikes at the Salvation Army when I stumbled upon this gem… a Gary Fisher Wahoo. It doesn’t look like much but it really is a nice bike. The chain and sprockets are rusty, so it’s really squeaky and the brakes are very worn. It needs new cables, brake pads and [...]

I’m finally getting around to putting up my March bike milage. Right now I’m about 130 miles off my pace to 1,500. I need to pick up some slack and quick! 278 miles so far this year. If I keep this pace I’ll just break 1,000 miles. I think I can do better than that.  Ride [...]

It’s usually Mara’s job to give Audrey a bath but tonight I decided to take the reins and give it a try. It was really very fun and we both had a good time while mommy took pictures. All clean!

Here’s my monthly bike log for February. I hope to update this monthly. I’m 62 miles off to my pace to make 1,500 miles for the year. I figure when it gets warm I’ll quickly make up that deficit. Ride Date Distance (miles) Weather Conditions Route (manage routes) Ride Type Bike Modify Ride 2/1/2008 (Fri) [...]

Mara had the idea for this one. I have three Buddha shirts that I wanted to show off, but I could only find two. This was my creative solution to the problem. Call him the odd man out.
