May Bike Journal

May turned out to be the most productive month in terms of mileage so far. I broke 200 miles an 1 1/2 before the clock turned to June. I was determined to break 200 miles for the month and I did. If I can make 200 or more per month every month until September I’ll almost surely make my goal.

The shifting can be annoying but it rolls much more efficiently than the mountain bike and has a rack. Lots of people walking dogs, a couple joggers. Pretty deserted outside overall for how nice it was. My front derailleur was stuck before I left and wouldn’t budge even with de-icer. I was stuck with only my rear gears. My chain is getting rusty but ok. I expect it will snap within a couple of weeks. Let’s see how much longer it will last.
